An 1881 key date proof shield nickel graded PR-66 by PCGS. This low mintage proof coin is much more affordable in this grade being a proof issue rather than a mint state. It carries very mark free surfaces for the grade with blast white and flashy surfaces throughout both sides.
This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 3,575. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,400 have survived today. This coin is one of only 153 graded Proof 66 by PCGS. It is also one of only 58 approved by CAC in this grade level.
