Beautiful example of the last year for the series, 1883 Shield Nickel in very Near Gem quality with full, frosty, cartwheel luster. Super-nice. Photos seem to be a bit darker than the coin seen in-hand. True color is bright silvery-nickel color. Nice, strong strike. It is in our best and honest and subjective opinion that the condition of this coin is in Very Near Gem to Gem quality.
