Perhaps it is their large sweet eyes, furry winter coat, or shrill braying that draws people to this critter. It most certainly has something to do with their super size ears. Whatever it is, the artist has also long been charmed by this beast of burden.  Of course, the donkey’s most distinct feature is its ears but it also possesses many more subtle characteristics that the artist has addressed with this beautifully detailed glass sculpture. These traits are further enhanced with the use of 24K gold which creates the vivid rainbow of colors.
