Up for your consideration is a Mats Jonasson (of Sweden) lead crystal sculpture or paperweight with an image of an orca or whale carved into the back side. The front surface is smooth and allows you to view
the image

The orca is emerging upwards from the water, with the ocean below and air bubbles to the side
. The amount of detail in this image of the whale is incredible. The sides have a pebbled texture that enhances the beauty of this piece. My research indicates that a brand new version of this sculpture costs over 1.
The sculpture stands 5 3/4 inches tall, measures 9 3/4 inches diagonally across at the widest point, and weighs 4 pounds, 9 3/8 ounces.
The bottom is marked by hand: Mats Jonasson - Sweden - 3545.
The sculpture is in excellent condition, with no cracks or crazing. There is slight wear to the base and a small ding above the signed number (see photos).
