Item Description and Condition Details.
The Sears KS Auto was manufactured for the venerable department store by Ricoh as a rebadged XR-2s SLR 35mm camera.
A fresh set batteries was inserted into the camera body to test for electrical function:
the light meter works (accuracy unknown), as does the automatic exposure function.
However, there are some condition issues:
crack in the body just adjacent to the winder; a crack in the faceplate just to the left of the aperture setting window directly above the lens mount; another crack in the body shell just to the right side of the lens mount (when looking at the front of the camera); some schmutz on the focusing screen; slight bit of dust on the mirror; slight debris in the viewfinder; self-timer arm is missing.
The hot shoe was not tested.
