The Nelson TR-1600 stud welding system consists of solid state power control unit, gun and cable. The power control unit is a fully regulated closed loop system that eliminates output current variations due to line voltage fluctuations or cable length changes. This system is capable of welding studs from 10 gage thru 5/8" deameter with the standard gun and 1/4" thru 3/4" wiht the heavy duty gun.
Power Requiremetns:
Adequate three-phase AC power must be available to operate the TR-1600 unit. Incoming line current is dependent on the size stud being welded and the amperage control setting. At 460 volts and mazimum amperage control setting, the line current is approximately 150 amps during the weld. At minimum setting, the line current is approximatelty 20 amps.
***Welder is used, but in good working condition. Welder comes with gun***
