    Description

    From the estate of a local University Librarian who was born in the 1920's and travelled quite extensively up to the late 80's-early 90's.  She always brought back treasures, art, memories.  These mats measure approximately 18" x 12" each (not exactly the same due to handmade nature) and are in their sealed plastic wrap with a price tag from 'Liberty House' in Hawaii.  A quick search of this company shows that it was a department store that seemed to operate at it's height in the 70's, (even expanding into California, Nevada and Washington).  By 1998, the company was bankrupt and became part of retail history.  A listing of their various departments shows that they had a 'Polynesian Shop', which is certainly where these items would have been purchased.   I do not know the exact date that she purchased these, but it is safe to say 70's-80's (no later than very early 90's).
    Great for a gallery wall...or even place them under slightly larger clear laminate placemats for TIKI / Island-themed parties.  Works well with BOHO, Tribal and 70's MOD decor.
    Due to differences in screen resolutions, you may not get the full scope of the color palette - I have provided individual full and close-up photos to show design and color.  Cream paper/bark with black and rusty-colored brown paint.
    I have another set of 3 listed as well that are also in their original packages and a set of 2 that are no longer in their packages, but are in very good condition.
